Meet the Founding Janes
The Founding Janes are dedicated to educating, inspiring, and equipping women with the knowledge and tools they need to have confidence in home improvement and themselves.
We've not only assembled a talented and energetic team of Janes across the country and behind-the-scenes, but we're also excited to share with you The Founding Janes of Be Jane, whose mission is to inspire women to tackle home improvement and overcome any obstacle in their homes, and in their lives!
The Founding Janes are (from left-to-right) Eden Jarrin (formerly "Clark") and Heidi Baker. See below for detailed bios.
About Heidi
- Place of birth: Birmingham, Michigan
- Favorite tool: Compound Miter Saw
- Favorite Projects: Transforming the look and elegance of a room with crown molding
- Why she believes every woman is a Jane: "Women! Don't be fooled! Home improvement is not rocket science, physically restrictive or overly expensive! Let me show you how you can empower yourself to turn that house you hate into a showplace - by doing it yourself!"
About Eden
- Place of birth: Vancouver, British Columbia
- Favorite tool: Anything with power!
- Favorite Projects: Seeing something expensive in a store, then building it from scratch herself (for a fraction of the cost)!
- Why she believes every woman is a Jane: "Women can achieve incredible things when they believe in themselves and their abilities. Sometimes all it takes is someone to believe in them and help them take that first step."
