Hanging antique mirror

What's the best support for hanging my large, heavy antique mirror? I want to hang it above my bedroom dresser. It's 5' wide and 3 1/2' high. The hanging loops on the back of the frame are in good condition. I understand that it's the best distribution of weight to hang it from those two loops, rather than running a wire and hanging from a single center point. But without hitting studs, I'm afraid to hang it by toggles in the drywall. Will that really be ok? Any other ideas? Thanks!

hi the toggle bolts should work but the hole they make can be large so you may have to use a washer under the head of the bolt. i would also check the hardware store-home depot-lowes for mirror hangers that you don't need to use a wire with. most important thing is to know the weight and than what ever you use double it so if the mirror is 75lbs.use something for 150lbs. better safe than sorry. hope this helps good luck
