Dining room ceiling

Getting ready to do my diningroom. There is wallpaper...someone tried to remove the wallpaper on the ceiling but it did not all come off so they painted over top of it. My question is what can I do to the ceiling so the wallpaper won't show?

Personally, I would remove the wallpaper, or you can cover the ceiling with the new ceiling tiles by Armstrong. They are fabulous...you can change the whole look of the room with them. If you decide to remove the wallpaper and paint, once you tear off or scrape off the design layer of the wallpaper, spray the remaining brown (second layer) with Windex...let it set for a minute or two, then peel it off with a plastic putty knife. Make sure to wear full wrap safety goggles so you don't get Windex in your eyes. Also, you can use the cheap generic brand of windex...it works just as well.

If you like you can take it off or use it like this paint the ceiling a tint and use a paint sprayer. You can adjust the setting to thick or thin. If you are going to do that take it off you will be more happy with it. Laurie
