Wallpaper in the bathroom?

I'd like to decorate my guest bathroom, in which the tub/shower is rarely used. So I thought an economical way to spruce it up would be to put a wall paper border up. I want the paper to be able to withstand an occasional hot bath, so is there any special treatment (or brand of wallpaper) I could use to keep the paper from peeling? Thanks!

You might try just doing a stencil border instead. Paper no matter what you use for glue will eventually give way due to the humidity in the room. But, stencils last for years and are easy to do.

Is to install crown molding in the bathroom. Becareful, you can't use wood moldings since it will warp from the moisture. I found a great crown molding product called SoSimpleCrown crown molding. It installs with caulk and you will not have any of the problems you have with wood moldings. I bought it on line. They cut the corners for me. It was very economical and the results were fantastic.

All you need is to buy 2 gallons of paint and a sponge.Paint the wall a dark color, then use the light color with the sponge.Take sponge go over dark paint in one direction until you get the look you want. It's called a Faux Finsh. It turns a drap wall into a work of art.

I put a wallpaper border in a very small bathroom in which my hubby takes very long hot showers, and never had a problem with it. It was the pre-pasted type.

I have a question.....you recommended painting over wallpaper. In the past I've stripped the paper and painted or repapered, or applied a faux finish, etc. I have a huge master bathroom and vinyl paper came with the house that I would like to paint over with a deep hunter green to accents in the file floor, etc. How does paint over vinyl wallpaper go? Do you recommend it?
