Help! We should have tried this long before, however, when we had our kitchen remodeled we closed off one of the doors to the guest bathroom to accommodate pantries in the kitchen. Of course a contractor was hired to do this and we felt he did an outstanding job. Until now....
I finally put this weekend aside to finish installing the baseboards in this very small bathroom. It's just the area that use to have a door so I thought this would be a quick simple job. After cutting and mitering my pieces of baseboard perfectly I found that once I laid the piece against the wall, it was snug in the back corner but a big gap (about 1- 1/4" !) by the time it got to the other end of the wall. Of course it's in the most noticeable place! Now I could glue it to the wall and use finishing nails -but that only draws more attention to how uneven it is! It's now obvious that the wall the contractor built is not in line with the original wall. What's the best way to either camouflage this or to make it right again?
Thanks for your help!
