framing a raw egde mirror


i am trying to figure out how to frame an old mirror we took out of our bathroom. it is roughly 5x8 and has a raw egde but i want to frame it out and stand it in our bedroom. would appreciate any help!

You can easily frame the mirror with moulding and a mitre saw. Moulding is available in a wide variety of sizes and styles and can be painted or stained to match your decor. A mitre saw should be used to give a professional look to your mirror frame. A few practice cuts with the saw will give you the skill to make a nice 45 degree cut for your mitred corners. An adhesive (liquid nails) can be used to affix the moulding directly to the mirror. Another options would be to mount the mirror on a plywood backing and attach the frame to the plywood.
