MY DOOR KNOB IS STUCK IN THE DOOR

Please help. I have an old home and a glass doorknob I followed the instructions for removing a doorknob. I removed all the screws and one knob came off but the outer knob is stuck. I have tried to hammer it out from the otherside hitting the long metal thing. I have tried prying it out but no luck. Please help your advice would be appreciated. Mavis

WD40! It's so goofy, but I hose anything that's stuck with WD40 and let it sit for about ten minutes. It will help release paint, dirt, rust, or good old fashioned "it's jammed the hell in there!" Give it a thorough spray and try the hammer again.
