OUTDOOR FOUNTAINS

I am creating an outdoor fountain out of terra cotta pots. I have sealed the pots, painted the surfaces with Folkart outdoor paint. Now I need a sealer/waterproofer that can withstand being underwater after curing. I also need a calk and adhesive with the same properties. Does anyone know what I can use. Most say they cannot be exposed to constant contact with water.

Sorry Janie's you are a bit out in left field with this one: 1). Get an electrical fountain pump and put it on a timer that way you control it not Mr. Sunshine. 2). NEVER buy a heavy concrete cast fountain and hire a forklift to place it and wait for it to crack (which it ALWAYS will). Go to Overstock and buy an inexpensive resin type fountain (they have many, many to choose from), have them ship it at no cost, unpack it, assemble, place in desired location, fill with a bit of water to prime pump, plug in (on a timer)GFI circuit, fill to top with water, sit back, open a beer and enjoy. Simple, cost effective and a Joe's way to tackle a project without complications and insure minimal future maintenance. Be Joe
