Oak tree removal

Two of my large oak trees have died and need to be cut down. I'd like to find a wood mill that would want the wood and cut it down at a reduced rate. I had the trees pruned 2 years ago and was told the oaks looked a little "bad" but had the branches tested and it was not oak wilt. I think nearby construction changed the ecosystem for the trees and killed them. Has anyone ever had a tree removed by someone interested in the wood for purposes other than fire burning? I've been searching on the internet for lumber company that might be interested but no look so far. Thank you, Kathy

I just did the same thing with a couple of maple trees. try looking for cabinet shops or local lumber companies that sell it.(not home depot) If their not interested ask if they know someone that is. Another avenue would be the tree removal services. Just call & ask. You should be able to sell them the trees. Luck, Gerald
