Greasy kitchen cabinets

I recently purchased a home and realized the kitchen cabinets are covered in grease and dirt. I have tried soap and water but i'm not getting anywhere. What's the best way to clean the kitchen cabinets? The grease have actuall discolored the cabinets.

There's a product called "Awsome" you can usually find it in the dollar store. If you spray it on your cabinets and wait 2 or 3 minutes, the results are Awsome! the grease will melt off.

Try Krud Kutter. First test a small area!! Only work with a small area at a time and then rinse before continuing. You can spray it and work with a scrub brush. When you are finished with the cabinets clean with bleach wipes or a surface cleaner to remove any residual Krud Kutter. I hope this helps!

Also try a product called Mean Green which can be found at the dollar store. I have used this when I powerwash a section of my brick house.

Will these cleaners clean up fake wood kitchen cabinets and not peel them? I cannot prepare them and paint as some suggest. I have RA and it hurts my hands too much. Just want to clean them up and have them shine some.

Thank you for the suggestions to this problem, I have come here with the same problem, although I know mine is because the fan above my cooker which takes away a lot of the grease in the air broke and I never got around to replacing the frigidaire parts. So slowly my cabinets around the cooker have become greasy and rotten looking.
