Washing machine leaks cold h20

After a load has completed washing, cold water is still dripping from the washer! I cleaned the mesh filter, replaced it, and it is still dripping! I now have to turn the cold water valve off while the washer isn't in use. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Could be the hoses...

My question is how old are the hoses because quite often the washers in them tend to get old and are unable to keep a proper seal. If that is the case for you then it would make sense even when the water is turned off because you probably didn't bleed the lines dry once it was turned off.

If you do get new hoses, my suggestion would be to get the metal braided kind because there is much less of a chance of them getting old and just blowing out one day when you're not home. Its really worth the upgrade.
