Be proud of home improvement accomplishments

I want to share my own success story. I am recently divorced after 21 years, have 2 teenage children, and just bought my own house. It ws a repo double-wide trailer, with 5 acres. I have learned a tremendous amount about home improvement. There is a ton of stuff they don't show on tv!! I took on the trailer and won! I painted every room, put in wood laminate floors, and tile floors, and replaced the screen door. I had friends who helped with some of the painting, and a carpenter friend helped me with the flooring, but over 8 weekends, I took the trailer from dump to damn nice. My carpenter has been amused and amazed at some of my projects, but he has taken several of the ideas for his own use. I grouted the kitchen and family room tile with a pastry decorating bag, and a wheeled garden cart. It works so much easier, and is easier on the knees. Even in adverse times, women can stand up and be successful. All it takes is courage, hard work, and persistence. Don't give up, and don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. (Well, at least if it is structurally possible to do:) BeJane has been a huge help to me, I have looked up all kinds of projects, and gotten good ideas from the website. Have a great day.

If you screw up make sure it looks like it was meant to look that way! Doesn't it make you feel good to make something that looks so ugly turn into something so inviting to live in! The place looks great, keep up the good work!

If you screw up make sure it looks like it was meant to look that way! Sorry...I guess I'll have to change "my signature" cause it doesn't separate itself from the body of the comment. "If you screw up...." is my signature, not a comment. Sheesh!
