tiling outside foundation with tile

I want to tile around the outside of my foundation. It is unsightly and you can see it when you are in the pool. Can this be done and if so what materials do I need and how do I do it? I live in Texas. Thanks Patty

You can use any tile you'd like. All you'll need to do is clean it off first. Personally I'd simply use foam coat or stucko. Luck, Gerald

dear patty, i love creating mosaic patterns with broken pottery or tiles. i keep a box for all broken pottery and it eventually makes it's way into something. recently, i put big pieces of limestone in my backyard and then filled in the crack with broken pieces of tile and pottery. (I also put in any old jewelry i could find.) I love the way it looks. You can go online and find the materials you will need to hold the tile in place and then to fill the spaces between with grout. I will attach some photos of my place and one of a friend who is tiling the entire facade of her house. it is amazing! good luck! Linda
