Windows

I have old windows, from 1954, where the panes are held to the frame by glazing. Anyone have any advice on how to replace that kind of window pane? It is getting expensive to keep calling the glass guys! It doesn't look that hard, but I don't know where to start.

If you have the type of windows I think you do then all they are is glass in wood, single pane. All the "glass guys" do to them is re putty them. You may purchase the same putty they use at the local hardware store. It'll be labled window putty or plumbers putty. Luck, Gerald
