Okay...I redid my small bathroom becasue it needed updating...I decided to put whitevinyl sheet flooring over the ugly old (very old) existing vinyl sheet flooring. It was the old industrial kind with the little speckles in it...smooth, no pattern...Well, I just can't keep the vinly flooring clean. It always looks hideous, and basically I just don't like it. I am thinking of pulling it up (the new white floor)and leaving the old floor as a base, using Gripper primer on the old vinyl (which was in great shape, sanding (lightly to remove old glue) painting and lacquering the floor...maybe black with a design in it. Has anyone ever done anything like this??? It is fortunately a small bathroom and if I hated the lacquer job I could always refloor it with something else. I've attached some pics of the bathroom...it is now black, taupe and white...leather curtains, black vanity, white sink and toilet. Any suggestions???
