I have lived in a mobile home for about 5 years. Each year I have taken 2-3 days to repair the roof coating. I thought it would work. I've tried to be so diligent and meticulous, but new or larger leak spots keep appearing on my ceiling. I've given up and decided that I need to hire someone to put a vinyl sheet over my roof. My neighbor spent about $3,000, which is why I tried the roof coating route. It only cost about $300 and promised to be good for a couple of years. I figured that I would do it every year to be safe. I washed my roof thorougly and scrubbed it with a broom. I then looked for any cracks, which I opened with a putty knife and filled with roofing cemet (looks more like tar to me). Followed by a couple coats of roof coating (I've used white and silver). Has anyone had any experience with this and does anyone have any suggestions. I want to take care if the problem this summer, then paint my ceiling and not have to worry about this anymore!
