How do you choose your paint?

I am painting my room and having the worst time doing it. When I go to Home Depot they asked me what type of finish, and I didn't even know there were multiple types. I just want plain old paint. Do you know what type of paint is best to paint a bedroom, and whether it's worth it to spring for the better quality types? I did find an article on www.savvymiss.com that helped explain some tips, but I could really use advice. Thanks!

A latex satin paint is best for bedrooms. It is semi-reflective, easy to clean and hides tiny imperfections in the wall surface (if any).

Just in case you wanted a little more information, we also have a great article on the site that explains the difference between paint sheens and tells you about the uses, appearance and durability between the different types. You can read it by going here: http://www.bejane.com/article_paintsheens.

Good luck! And be sure to post photos of your new walls after you've painted, we'd love to see!
