Hello, Ladies! I'm planning to remodel my garage into a laundry/mudroom and separate scrapbooking room. Currently, we have a solid core wooden door between the house and the garage, but no self-closing hinges or anything on it. My 'supervisor' (retired contractor/neighbor) says I have to replace it with a steel door and the self-closing hinges (I believe they're called bommer hinges?). I'm trying to save shekels on this project, and am wondering if I could just buy a self-closing hinge and attach it to the door I already have. It costs considerably less.
Any input would be unbelievably appreciated.
Thanks!
Kelly
