Shopping online

I very recently received a parcel from BeJane - a $16 t-shirt and $7 earplugs that I had ordered and paid for with a valid credit card online, including a basic overland shipping fee. At least I THOUGHT I had paid for it. It arrived C.O.D. I told the UPS fellow that the shipping was paid when the order was made. He informed me that there's an additional fee - another $22! - for the "import charges". I'm not blaming Canada Customs for this suddenly expensive little purchase. I've ordered a great number of things from many other countries, the U.S. being just one, and have never before been stuck with the customs fees, added-on at my door. Please, before you accept international orders, either warn your customers of the extra costs with some researched, at least ballpark figures so they can make an informed decision before buying, or find out how the other retailers negotiate with customs to spare their customers a nasty surprize. Nope, not happy, and won't be rushing to order anything else from BeJane. However, I do sincerely hope your U.S. business grows so that walk-in retail outlets are in your near future. Thankyou for your consideration of my concerns, Jane Swatridge

To All Our Canadian Customers: Unfortunately, due to numerous incidents of exorbitant customs fees charged to our customers we have suspended all shipments to Canada until further notice. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
