I have been single longer than I was married and had a handyman around. He wanted to do all the projects with very little of my help. I have enjoyed do things on my own. If it's not perfect and I still like it, I have learned to like the imperfections because thay are like me,not perfect! It is theraputic for me to get my hands dirty or stir up some dust or get paint on my face. Projects:Woodworking........I love to strip the finish off old ugly furniture I find and refinish it to it's new beauty. The hardest piece i've done was a buffet that was pea green when a friend gave it to me. She was going to throw it out!!! It had so many different coats of paint on it, it took forever to get it down to beautiful mahogangy wood with beautiful inlays on the doors. It is gorgeous now. All that hard work paid off. Container Gardening: is now a hobby of mine. I live in a one bdm.apt. with a nice patio. I can't plant anything in the ground here. I have an azalea bonsai that I have had for 2 yrs. I was told that it was 12 when I got it.
