Hi all at BeJane, what a wonderful community you have here. I live at the tip of the African continent, where the two mighty oceans meet, in a little naval village called Simon's Town. I am in the process of building my own little cottage on a shoestring budget, hence the name, Shoestring Cottage! Inspired by BeJane and amazing people like Tom Landis of ownerbuilder.com, I am venturing out to start my own little community in South Africa just like this. Women in South Africa need to be empowered and what better way than at grass roots level - if I can be a part of that, my job on this earth will have been done.
