crown moulding

Has anyone put up crown moulding in rooms with angled ceilings? I really want to tackle this, but because my ceilings are angled I don't know if this is going to be a possibility for a rookie? Any advice or tips would be appreciated. I have been told that because of the angle, the moulding would have to be mitre cut and beveled???? Help!!

on a reno show on TV that was made for that purpose. It helped by holding the moulding in place when cutting with a mitre saw. It made it really easy. I'm sure that a local reno store should have it.

The moulding would have to be cut with a compound mitre saw either way. the problem your going to experience is that when you start traveling up or down a vaulted ceiling the cuts that start and finish are going to be longer so the detail won't match. I'd just run it around the room at the same elevation and place a small shelf on top of it where it passes thru the vaulted area. Luck, Gerald
