floor joist week and tub sinking

hi, i need help. my bathtub has recently dropped about 1 inch..it needs to be braced but it is an old cast iron tub, and pipes are in the way of bracing...i wanted to brace it in the front but i was worried about the water running behind it and rotting out wall..it leaks under the house where the pipe has a krink in it...also the corner of the floor is down a little...all in all i need to: 1. BRACE TUB 2. FIX DRAIN LEAK 3. SUPPORT FLOOR IN THIS AREA ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANKS, BOBBIE

What floor is this on, and what access do you have to get underneath? Don't try to fix it from the top.

THE HOUSE IS A ONE STORU HOUSE, I HAVE ABOUT 3 FEET OF CRAWL SPACE TO WORK WITH AND I AM SMALL..I BOUGHT 2 FLOOR JACKS AND 2 CONCRETE BLOCKS AND A 4X4 POST AND A 2X6X8 TO USE..I'M JUST NOT SURE HOW TO GO ABOUT IT FOR SAFETY REASONS...UNDER HOUSE IS DRY IN SPITE OF LEAKING DRAIN.

This may be challenging for you, if you are small. It can be difficult to give you instructions without seeing what you are dealing with. Is the ground hard and compacted? What are the size of the joists? Are they sagging, broken, infested with termites or soft with rot? What are they attached to, and with what type of hardware? What type of floor jacks did you buy (hydraulic vs mechanical and capacity in tons). What is the condition of the subfloor? Are your concrete blocks solid or hollow? It sounds like you feel that only one joist is sagging. Put a straight edge on the other joists and see if they are sagging, also. Do you have either a laser or water level?
