Turned faucet handle too far. Please help

When turning off the hot water on my kitchen sink, I turned too far. The handle now has no stopping point. If I position the handle at a certain location, the water will stop running, but there is no physical block there. I can turn the handle around and it goes from off to on to off, etc. I haven't actually spun it 360 degrees, but when I turn it past the original physical stop, the water runs faster again. Can I fix this? Have I broken something that can be replaced or have I just popped something off? Do I have to have the faucet replaced or is there something simple I can do to get the physical stop to work again? I'm a single mom and could really use some help/direction here. thank you. My sink/faucet configuration would be called wide spread, separate handles with a sprayer on the end.

Sounds like you broke the stop. You may turn the water off underneath the sink and then remove the valve cassette. It should be secured with a nut that is on the top of the valve. Once you get it off the valve should simply pull straight out. Then take the cassette into your local home improvement store to verify that you're getting the right replacement. Luck, Gerald

Drywall problems

Help, Help, Help! Son-in-law tried to install floating shelves but left holes in drywall. Two are actually over studs and two others are so close by that they are going to make bigger holes. Each hole is currently about 1/4 - 1/2 inch across and about 1/2 - 1 inch deep. The holes are where the shelves need to be mounted. What should I do? A second problem is that I installed a magnifying mirror on the wall in my bathroom and it was very secure - for about a year. Suddenly last week both anchors pulled out and now I have the same size holes as above and the room is wall-papered. I want to put the mirror back up. Can I use bigger anchors?
