interior functional transom windows

My husband and I are buiding my sculpture studio within his shop building asteel barn. We live in the Central Coastal Valley of CA -- and it gets mighty hot here in the summer. I am from New England and am appalled at the seeming lack of simple logic here when it comes to air circulation for comfort. On the interior walls of the studio I want to create working transom windows - using two premade sidelight panels I have acquired. My problem is finding the installation hardware -- NOT the opening hardware - but the hardware to actually suspend a pivoting transome window into a wall opening. Restoration Hardware and another reproduction company sell the opening hardware -- but not the portion I need. Does anyone out there know what i mean and how to hang the transoms so they can be opened ? Thanks Franki

You might want to try salvage yards. They have stuff from old houses and buildings. There are many online and will sell over the net if you aren't able to go there physically. Good luck! Kelly

http://houseofantiquehardware.com/s.nl/sc.12/category.22/.f this site seems to have some great stuff! I am wanting to create a window that opens above a pantry door (where the air intake for my ac unit is) hope this helps!

Franki, I know your question was asked over a year ago but did you find what you are looking for? I am also on the same search and can't find the hardware - amy
