I have been in the Construction industry for over 25 years. My education is in Construction Management. My fondest memory in home improvement is when my Mother decided not to wait for my father to come home to demo a wall(she waited for years). She completed the removal of drywall and was just about ready to start on the demolition of the studs, when my father walked in and stopped her. She was ready to take down the load bearing wall. So with a little work and some structural engineering, the wall was removed and a beautiful open kitchen space was completed. It was one of many lessons learned.
