I am simply wanting to replace a light switch to my bedroom closet. All of the instructions say there should be 2 black wires, one green wire. I have one red wire which was attached to one of the gold screws and one black wire which was looped around the other gold screw of the old switch and continued on. I do not see a green wire, however, there is a green screw. There is a copper wire that seems to be capped of with a copper cap. Why should something so simple be so difficult? Do I really need to hire an electrition to do this? Can someone help?
