gap between floor and molding

We just refinished our hardwood floors and installed new molding. The floor was already older and is a bit uneven from the last owners. So, some of the molding fits nicely but some spots you can see a slight gap. Is there anyway to seal or close these gaps? I'm afraid of creepy crawlers coming through. Thanks

What we do is use a caulking to seal the gap between the floor and base. If you use a color match you shouldn't even be able to tell that's it's been done. Check your friends and neighbors homes and I'm sure you'll find it in most areas. Luck, Gerald

I would just leave it and chalk it up to character. There's no quick fix -- you could take out the thin base shoe and add thicker base shoe to possibly cover it -- but I bet most people won't notice.
