laying sod

does anybody have any advice about laying new sod down? are there any must-do's I should know about?

It's pretty easy. You just lay it in place, cut it according to the curves and dimensions of the space. The critical part is watering -- you have to water it every day (unless it rains, of course) for at least 2-3 weeks. I've seen many sodded lawns brown in a few months from lack of water.
