How to build vinyl post and railings on sides of steps to house/deck?

My mother and I have houses that have NO POSTS AND RAILINGS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE CONCRETE STEPS TO OUR FRONT AND SIDE DOORS. WE NEED SOMETHING TO HOLD ONTO GOING IN OR OUT OF HOUSE. QUESTION: HOW DO WE PUT IN VINYL POSTS & RAILINGS- TO HELP US BALANCE AND NOT FALL OFF STEPS GOING IN & OUT OF OUR HOUSES? Thank for any help in advance!

You have three options: bolt it to the top of the steps bolt it to the side of the steps dig holes on the side of the steps and place it in concrete (I wouldn't trust just putting it in dirt, if you want it for support) Let me know your preference, and then I'll share the step-by-step instructions when I return on Sunday.
