Glass bulb for outdoor light is stuck & won't uncrew

I need to change a light bulb for an outdoot light, but the glass globe is stuck in the socket and won't unscrew. Before I just break it, I'm looking for any other ideas.

I'm new to bejane.com and saw your note. SURELY you've gotten it fixed by now, but I did want to tell you that it happens frequently in one of my lamps...so I DO break the bulb, then I take WOODEN tongs and put them up inside the aluminum and as I spread them apart, I turn couunter-clockwise and before I know it, no on is electicuted and I've got the entire bulb and screwy part out. Be the change you see in the world!
