I have a wood cabinet for my VCR/DVD player, but there's no place to put the tapes & discs. I want to install a shelf to hold those items, so they wouldn't have to sit on top of the VCR/DVD player, which is bad for the VCR/DVD player. The interior of the cabinet is 26.5" long x 15" deep. There is sufficient space inside for a shelf. I do not want screws to go thru the outer "wall" of the cabinet.
A friend suggested I place a slim slice of wood on each interior wall of the cabinet for the shelf to sit on. Those slim slices could be glued into place and hold up the shelf. This would require no screwing at all. I don't know what glue to use and would appreciate any other suggestions?
