I have always been poor and therefore, innovative. I married a man who had to be shown how to boil water and use a hammer. Now I am a single mother of two boys who are learning how to be self-sufficient from me. I have replaced light switches and installed outlets. I have plastered and painted. I have installed shelves, and built furniture, bikes and a basketball hoop. I have built raised bed gardens and landscaped. I have refinished old furniture. I have built a playhouse tepee and sewn an Indian outfit for my son. I am currently ripping out carpet and learning how to put in hardwood floors.
