Will Faux Cover Wood Paneling?

I want to paint over grooved paneling that has been made to look like it has wood knots. I know I have to prep the surface first with sanding and primer. Will textured paint help hide the pattern on the wall? Thanks!

Faux painting adds texture to a surface and is fun to do. Check out our article at: http://www.bejane.com/BJDIY09262006656

One easy faux leather technique is to do a rich red color as your base coat (2 coats) and then place a brown top coat on and use a cheesecloth pom pom to dab it up exposing a bit of the red underbelly. It's quick and easy and comes out great.
