Saw Suggestions?

I want to up my tool collection to include a saw. Any suggestions? There seem to be so many different kinds, I don't know where to start! Anyone out there have a favorite they can share?

If you have any idea what kind you are looking for- skill saw, table saw, ect, then I can give you a idea of what brand to buy. Tell me your saw needs and I can tell you which is the better one.
