Sweepstakes Entry

I don't know if I'm entered in the Be Jane $2500. Sweepstakes, I went into "register" but there is no entry box to show feedback to indicate that I'm actually entered. How can I find out if I am? I definitely want to be entered before the deadline. Can you advise in this area?

Hi Patricia,
To post here in the forum you need to be a registered user. So you are already logged in, since you were able to post. Given that if you click on the "My Account" link in the header of each page in the upper right corner, you will be taken to your "Jane" profile (this will be expanded later to allow you to share projects, make pieces of your profile public to fellow Janes etc...). At the bottom of your view profile page it tells you whether you are opted in to the sweepstakes or not. If not there will be a link to the form that allows you to opt in.

Good Luck.

Thanks for your advice on how to open a doorknob, you know the ones with the hole in the middle, I was locked out of my bathroom when I accidently closed the door with the lock button pushed in.I tried a long paper clip but it didn't work, my cat was getting anxious because she needed to use her litter box. I went on line and got the greatest advise on using a small flathead screw driver the (eyeglass kind )I used the longest one I could find and POP -went the door. Thanks so much this is the second time it happened to me, last time I had to call my landlord on a weekend. you advice saved my night!

Shower Backing Board?

kvollmer writes:

Fri, 10/13/2006 - 9:32am

I am an artist putting in a new bathroom in a log cabin. I bought the shower base and glass surround. I will be needing a backer board or plastic or cement board to go against one side a new wall and the other side a log wall. I want to know what is out there that would be interesting to look at, inexpensive, easy to clean by squeegee and wiping down with a towel each time. Don't want soap tray or any curly queues. Is it possible to use counter top plastic if fully siliconed? Any other suggestions. I know there is something called milk board that they use in milk houses but just plain white bubbly. Could I score it, paint it, and or stain it? Any more thoughts?Sunday on the Lake

We bought a house with I would say 20+ year old carpet and I want to remove it ASAP. I want to stain the concrete so it looks presentable...we'd like to tile but that's not in our budget... I want it to have browns, oranges, reds and shiny...throughout the living room, hallway and entryway. Where do I begin after removing the carpet???

We just bought a house and we have wood floors throughout the whole house, main floor and basement. I thought that having wood floors would be great however living in the midwest, those floors tend to get cold fast. I don't want to get rid of the wood floors, I think that I would just like to put some carpet tiles in the basement. Would putting carpet tiles down damage the floors in any way?? Maybe a bid area rug would be better. I don't know.
