If you're building something that requires several pieces of wood to be cut to the same length, save time by cutting your first piece and then marking it and using it as a key or template for the balance of the pieces to be cut. Simply place the key over the full length board and mark the end, cut, repeat - until all your pieces are cut. By using one board as a key to mark and cut the balance of the boards, you can guarantee uniformity of all pieces. Now you can spend more time on the fun stuff - assembly and watching your project come to life!
