This is what you do! take a knife cut and pull. that is it. To put it back on make sure it is nice and hot in the room. don't do it when the room is cold because it will come off the wall. Also fill the tub with water so then when you get in it, it won't pull away from the wall.
Life in aprtements. Also get the right caulk don't get paint caulk it will be the worst thing you can do. if you don't care about the color use sillicone.

I haven't tried it yet, but I bought a grout/caulk removal tool that looks to be handy for such a thing. I also found a web site that explains how to try and soften it up so it comes out easier.

There is a Tile & Grout cleaner that has a warning to not let it set on latex caulking as it may frail or loosen the bond. It might work to spray this cleaner on the calking let it set for a few minutes and it might loosen the calking enough to get it up easily. You can find it at www.betterbiosolutions.com Natural Stone/Tile & Grout Cleaner #179.

I have one loose tile and at least 2 more that are going to be soon if I don't do something soon. The best I can come up with is to scrape the old adhesive, use waterproof adhesive and possibly silicone-type grout. Any suggestions?

Hi- I've removed the old caulking around the tub without a problem. There is cracked grout around the tiles, that does not remove as easily. Do you recommend caulking over the grout with a matching color? Any other suggestions? TX.

At home depot there is a product called 'Caulk Be Gone' it is in a tube and sold where the caulking supplies are, looks like caulk in a tube and you cut the tip the size of the bead you need and squeeze it on the old caulking and let it sit for a while then use a plastic caulk remover tool (very cheap) and it comes right off without scratching anything. Hope this helps.
