New To Gardening:)

Hey all-am totally new to gardening and will be helping my best friend with her landscaping at their new home. I've offered to help-I know it will mean heavy lifting, and dirt, dirt, dirt-but I'm ready for it

Any suggestions for the newbie-and must haves that I should check out or buy before hand? Thanks!

Make sure you wear old, dirty clothes. Those plastic gardening shoes are great too--just don't bring them inside. I have a gardening apron that I absolutely love. It holds a ton of stuff and keeps me from getting too dirty! Good luck and have fun! --J

Remember to drink lots of water. It is very easy to get dehydrated out in the sun. But the tools depend on they type of job you will be working on. Are you going to rebuild walls, or plant bulbs and plants. One of the best places to find out recommendations is to go to a local greenhouse and ask for an advice clerk. They will make recommendations. You can take the advice with a grain of salt and only purchase what you think is best.
