Wood Glue Rec's

Hi There,
I have a small chest of drawers that I love, but 2 of the handles have come loose on it and have fallen halfway out. I was told to fix it with wood glue. I got some and the nose of the container is too thick for the holes of the handle. I'm afraid of making a mess of it if I try to adhere the glue to the handle itself and then push it in the hole. Any advice?

I've had this same situation. What worked for me was that I squeezed out some of the wood glue and I used a flat toothpick to evenly spread out the glue into the hole. I pushed in the handle, wiped off the excess and was good to go. Otherwise, if this doesn't work, I would just apply the glue to the handle, but just be sure to wipe off the excess as quickly as you can. You shouldn't have a problem if you get to it quickly. Good luck! Smiler

Aha! Toothpick - I love it. Now, why didn't I think of that? It might have something to do with procrastination... Smiler
