Shower Clogs

HI There,
Next question: My shower and sink in my bathroom seems to clog pretty regularly. It takes a few bottles of Liquid Plumber (Industrial Strength) and then I'm good to go for a couple of months. I am really careful to clean out all the hair so it doesn't go in the drains. Is this the sign of a larger problem or is it just the trials and tribs of condo living in a 50 year old bldg? Any insight is appreciated...!!

I've had the same problems before as well. Do you have a filter in the drain though? If you have a good one-this shouldn't be happening. Would also suggest getting in there with some tweezers-and getting out all that may be clogged, I know it doesn't sound too pleasant-but is definitely worth a try!

Also, if you are living on the first floor and there are others that live above you the problem could be coming from them more than you. If this is true then maybe the condo association should be paying to have someone come and check the trap for your line every 4-6 months. We did it in our condo. If you don't have a trap, it is still their issue.

Wow - KarasMom - you called it! I am on the first floor. I never even thought that it might be the people above me. I've had problems with them before - if you've read my posts on water damage on my bedroom wall (it adjoins the bathroom wall.) I will take it up with the condo association. Great advice!!

SmileyGal- maybe its time for a new trap, just in case. I'll put it on my shopping list today!

Thanks everyone.
