I am working on my yearly deck maintenance and I was wondering if anybody had any insight on the following: The stain i have on right now is faded on certain areas and perfectly sound in others. Do i have to strip the stain completely in order to get the uniformity ( I plan to keep the same color and use a solid stain) or is a thorough cleaning with a deck cleaner enough?
