My son, a dry wall contractor, told me about a great new product called "The Block Leash". This handy tool helps me with all my sanding needs, from sanding walls and ceilings before painting, craft projects, woodworking projects - and more I haven't tried yet!
This handy leash screws on to the end of a sanding sponge, then straps over your wrist. Can't tell you how many times I've been sanding and the darn sanding sponge ends up on the floor with me on the ladder, or flips up and away from me when doing other projects. Now, when the sponge leaves my hand, it is attached to my wrist for easy retrieval. When I've painted walls before, I had my sanding sponge in one hand, my wiping cloth in the other, up on a ladder. Now, not having to keep the sponge in my hand, this little gadget helps me steady myself on the ladder with my free hand.
I purchased three of these items, one reason was to justify the shipping charges, and glad I did, because I have three sponges attached - one "fine" grit, one "medium" grit and one for corners. Order from www.all-wall.com. You can look it up yourself on google.com - The Block Leash. I hope you like the product as much as I do.
I am somewhat handicapped and this really has made my work and play much easier and more enjoyable!
