Removing polyresin paint from glass?

Is there a way to remove 'ployresin' paint from glass surface? I've already tried soaking the glass in acetone- no help. And again with Oops- no help. Both products worked to take some of the grime off, but none of the paint. I tried scraping with a utitly knife...and I've tried sanding with a medium grade sandpaper- nothing. I could try a higher grade sandpaper, or a steel wool, but since I'm not sure those would work either...ahh...? Does anyone have any suggestions, or know of something that could help? I don't mind the surface getting a little etched, and would settle with just some of the paint coming off to make it lighter.
