I've got a solution to your breezeway floor issue. Just pull up the carpet, scrape off the loose glue and use DCsurfaces Acid Stain Overlay kit to acid stain the concrete available at www.DCsurfaces.com. The overlay will go right over the glue and adhere to it and the concrete. Acid stain and seal it for a beautiful finish that is MUCH more durable and attractive than concrete paint. Check out the photos. The process is really easy and only costs about $1 per square foot for the materials and shipping in the continental USA.
