SCALOPPED HEADBOARD

WHEN COVERING A SCALOPPED EDGE HEADBOARD HOW DO YOU MAKE THE SCALOPPED EDGE IN THE LOWER CURVES LAY DOWN CORRECTLY TO STAPLE. THE TOP OF THE SCALLOPS ARE NOT A PROBLEM ITS WHEN I GET TO THE LOWER PART OF THE SCALOPPS I CANNOT GET THE FABRIC TO LAY DOWN TO STAPLE - DO I NEED TO CUT THE FABRIC A CERTAIN WAY?

THANK YOU

How to trim the fabric for attaching

Babs,

If I understand you properly you are having a problem attaching the fabric on the parts of the scallops where there is more fabric than there is room for it. What I did in these areas was cut away some of the excess on the back to allow it to lay flat enough to be able to staple it.

I hope I understood you properly. Please write back if I didn't.

Hug 'n hammers,

Heidi
