porcelain chipping from bathroom sinks

I have 2 bathroom sinks in which the porcelain is randomly loosening by itself and coming off the sink. I have only use approved cleaners and not done anything unusual with these sinks. Any ideas what could be causing this? I don't want to replace them until I know. Thanks.

Sounds like you've got hairline fractures in your porcelain. Water gets into them & rusts the sink. The expansion causes the chipping. You may be able to reglaze them. Check prices & timline's to know if it's an avenue you'd like to take. Luck, Gerald
