My dads' birthday is coming up and I have been thinking of making him a plaque for his restored car. He is recently retired and after many years of restoring his 37 Ford has now entered into car shows. Well to make a short story long the car shows require a sign that has your cars information on it. I wanted to make one for him but didn't know what type of wood or material to use that would stand the test of time. I wanted to paint the sign and apply a lacquer. Any suggestions?
