I was wondering how do you get a good, crisp edge when you paint stripes? I don't seem to be able to get them clean.

Have you tried painters tape and tape the edge of the stripe?

The video on this site "Secret of the Stripes" explains how to make sure the stripe edge is crisp. You can find it under the topic of Painting & Staining. It is on the 3rd page. I just found this site and plan on using the information on a painting project next week.

crisp stripes

1. paint the base coat 2. tape 3. seal the edge by painting the edge of the tape with the base coat 4. let it dry 5. paint the accent color 6. remove tape before it completely dries
