Hi. I am currently laying down laminate floors throughout the three upstairs bedrooms and landing and am very pleased with how i am getting on. However i am getting someone else in to lay the carpet on the stairs and this is where i have hit a problem. Do i lay the wood all the way to the edge of the land to the top stair or do i leave a space for a carpet strip/edge? If i leave a space, how much? P.S. just for anyone thinking of saving money by buying cheap laminate. DON'T!! Its a pain to work with as it is too flexable and gets damaged too easily when you're working with it.
